During his time under center fot the Salukis, he played in an unprecedented 49 straight games, was voted the “Toughest Saluki” for four straight years by his teammates, and set many Saluki quarterback records. Sambursky received his bachelors’ degree in Finance in 2005 and his Masters degree in Business Administration in 2007, both from SIUC. Currently a financial consultant with Forbes Financial Group in Carbondale, Joel continues to serve his community both on and off the football field.
