About Born™
What's in a name? Everything...
Born Athletic™, Inc. (BAI) was founded in 2006 by a group of athletic professionals committed to helping all athletes reach their full potential. BAI started as little more than a dream of founder Toby Brooks, a certified athletic trainer and strength & conditioning specialist, who grew up in the Southern Illinois area in the 80's and early 90's. After working in various positions in college and professional sports across the country over the span of a decade, Brooks brought his family back to the area intent upon establishing a center where area athletes determined to become their own best could come to refine their skills and maximize their potential. But what to call it? We believe that every one of us has been given the potential to succeed and that it is up to us make the most of it. In other words, we're all Born Athletic. The name stuck.
What we do
From our headquarters in Marion, Illinois, we offer athletic devlopment services to athletes from ages 5 and up. We offer general athletic development training including speed, power, agility, reaction, and quickness (SPARQ). We also provide elite strength and conditioning programming, as well as sport specific instruction for football, baseball/softball, and basketball. We offer related services such as sport psychology & peak performance consultation, sports nutrition counseling, and specialized vision training. Our staff includes a diverse team of individuals who want to see you succeed. Can't come to our place in Marion? No problem...we deliver, too. We offer custom-tailored off-site services at schools and institutions, including training program design, athlete testing, consultation, and athletic training event coverage.
